My studio is a sanctuary where the expression of the horse is captured with care and precision. Specializing in realistic portraits in coloured and graphite pencils her work transcends mere representation diving deep into the character and power of each subject. Using the finest museum grade lightfast materials that will last a lifetime. I create timeless tributes that celebrate the bond between horse and rider, capturing the finest detail from a glossy coat to the wisdom in a gentle eye.
The Studio
For larger bolder pieces I use Charcoal on either canvas or board. Again, all materials are of the highest museum grade quality ensuring they last a lifetime. Charcoal can give a piece a looser feel whilst still keeping the finer detail where needed. From velvety blacks to subtle lighter shades, it creates a dramatic image giving the sense of movemant and depth. I am currently working on both these pieces.
